ಮುರ್ಗಿನ ಹುಳಿ ಸಾಂಬಾರ್ / Kokum Sambar (Saru) / kokum rasam/ Punarpuli Saru (rasam) | Arudhi Kitchen

ಮುರ್ಗಿನ ಹುಳಿ ಸಾಂಬಾರ್ or Kokum Sambar or Punarpuli Sambar is a very tasty and healthy recipe. Kokum / Punarpuli contains anti-oxidants thus helps minimize the impact of many diseases.

With few ingredients we can prepare amazingly delicious Punarpuli sambar / Kokum sambar and it is a very good combination with rice.


Ingredients :
Kokum rinds : 15 Nos.
(Soaked in water overnight)
Water ; 3.5 glass
Coriander leaves : 2 Tbsp
Jaggery : 1 lemon size
Salt to taste
Coriander Seeds :1.5Tbsp(Roasted)
Grated coconut : 1 cup
Red chilli powder : 1 Tbsp
Cumin seeds : 1/2 Tbsp (Roasted)
Turmeric powder : 1/4 Tsp

For tempering :
Ghee : 1 Tbsp
Mustard seeds : 1/4 Tsp
Byadgi Red chilli : 1 No.
Curry leaves : 10 Nos.
Garlic : 3 Nos. (Smashed)
