A simple and unique kadhi made using kokum petals is is absolutely mouth-watering and delicious.KOKUM KADHIIngredients8-10 kokum petals2 tbsps gram flour (besan)2 tbsps oil1 tsp cumin seeds¼ tsp asafoetida (hing)10-12 curry leaves1 green chilli, chopped1 tbsp chopped garlicSalt to taste2 tsps chopped jaggeryChopped fresh coriander leaves for garnishSteamed rice to serveMethod1. Soak kokum petals in 1½ cups water for 20 minutes. 2. Strain the soaked kokum petals in a large bowl, add gram flour and mix well.3. Heat oil in a non-stick deep pan, add cumin seeds and let them change colour. Add asafoetida, curry leaves, green chilli, and garlic and sauté till golden brown. 4. Add the kokum mixture, 1 cup water, salt and jaggery and mix well. Cook till the mixture come to a boil, reduce the heat to low and cook for 6-8 minutes more. 5.
