kimbap The korean sushi

(ps. it's preferred to read the recipe than to watch the video as the video has little mistakes and will be corrected and updated soon)

it's a really delicious and famous korean dish specially on picnics, korean people tend to eat it on any meal; breakfast, lunch and dinner! it's a fast solution to busy people who like to keep it healthy :D

the ingredients

1. pickled radish
(which is pre cut for kimbap use)

2. kim (which is a kind of sea herbs
that you can find in any store)

3. fried eggs

4. imitation crab

5. spinach

6.carrots

7.pickles

8. cucumber

9. cooked rice

9. any type of seasoned beef or
pre-marinaded kalbi which is meat made on
Korean style from the store.

(ps. all the ingredients' amounts depend on how much kimbap you want to make, so the amount is up to you to choose.)

The procedures

1- Get the seasoned beef and slice it up thin (or use pre-marinaded kalbi which is meat made on Korean style from the store.)


3- get the fried eggs and slice it up thinly. The key to frying an egg for kimbap use is using LOW heat. Just pour the egg onto the frying pan on low heat and leave it there until it's firm and easy to flip over.

4-Begin by using a mandolin to thinly slice your cucumber.

5-Do the same with your carrots and lightly saut it with some sesame oil.


6- Eventually you will have your ingredients ready.

7- Get as much rice as you want to use and season it with some sesame oil and sesame seeds and let it cool down to room temperature. You don't want the rice o be hot or else it will just crumple the gim.

9-After the rice and all the other ingredients have cooled down, create a work station.

10-Start by placing your kim on a sushi roller.

11-Spread the rice out as thinly and evenly as possible. Leave a little room at the bottom without rice because this makes wrapping it a lot easier.

12-Add whatever ingredients you have towards the bottom.

13-Fold the empty part over everything as tightly as possible and use the roller to roll up it tightly.

14-Use your roller to make the roll firm.

15-When you're done rolling set aside and continue until you run out of ingredients.

16-Take a sharp knife and cut it up.


17-You're now ready to start eating I hope you enjoy.
