Instant creamy kheer made with roasted vermicelli.

INSTANT SEVAIYA KHEER

Ingredients

150 grams vermicelli (sevaiya), coarsely crushed
1 liter milk
12-14 almonds
2 tablespoons ghee
½ cup condensed milk
A pinch salt
¼ teaspoon green cardamom powder
Almonds for garnishing

Method

1. Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan. Add vermicelli and roast on high heat for 2-3 minutes.
2. Add almonds and sauté for 30 seconds. Add milk, mix, reduced heat, cover and cook for 5-7 minutes.
3. Add condensed milk and mix. Add salt and cardamom powder, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
4. Serve warm garnished with almonds.
