So let's try this sambar recipe in Hindi.Fore More Recipes: Visit https://www.mintsrecipes.comIngredients1 cup tuvar/Arahar Dal2 medium sized chopped tomato2 medium sized chopped Onion¼ cup chopped French beans¼ cup chopped carrot¼ cup chopped bottle gourd10-15 curry leaves1/2 tsp Mustard seeds½ tsp Asafoetida1 tsp Red chili powder2 tsp Sambhar masala½ tsp Turmeric powder2 Tbsp oilSalt to tasteCoriander leavesHow to make:•Wash and soak the dal in water for 30-45 mins before cooking them.•Take a pressure cooker and combine dal with all the chopped veggies (tomato, onion, French beans, carrot and bottle gourd).•Add salt, turmeric powder, sambar masala and 2 cups of water in pressure cooker. Mix it well•Cover the lid and cook dal for 3-4 whistles on medium to high flame.•Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.•Open the lid and blend dal with the help of a wooden spatula to make it smooth. Keep aside.•Heat oil in a deep heavy bottom pan and add the mustard seed, when the mustard seed starts crackling put curry leaves and red chilly powder.•Put cooked sambar and mix it well. If the consistency of sambar is thick, then add some water.•Now add asafoetida and bring it to boil. Keep on stirring at intervals so that the dal does not stick to the bottom.•Lastly, add coriander leaves, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.•Serve hot with steamed rice or idli or dosa or medu vada..
