Make this Maharashtrian style flat bread at home. Easy, healthy and tasty!

RICE BHAKRI

Ingredients

1 cup rice flour
Salt to taste
Thecha to serve

Method

1. Bring 1 cup water to a boil in a deep non-stick pan, add salt and mix.
2. Add rice flour and mix, cover and steam on low heat for 2-3 minutes. Take the pan off the heat and transfer the dough into a large plate.
3. Knead the dough using a small stainless steel bowl till it cools slightly. Once the dough is warm, start kneading with your hands till a smooth and soft dough is formed.
4. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
5. Dust the worktop with rice flour, place the dough ball on it, dust a little rice flour on top and roll it into a thin bhakri.
6. Heat a non-stick tawa, place the bhakri on it and cook for 1-2 minutes, flip and gently press with a wooden press or till the bhakri puffs up. Take it off the heat.
7. Arrange the bhakris on a serving plate and serve hot with thecha.
