How To Cook Bhajji (Fritters) Platter By Preetha | India Food Network

Enjoyed best on a rainy day while sitting in your balcony or veranda with a piping hot cup of tea, Bhajji or more commonly known as fritters is a favorite among Indians in any part of the world. Watch Preetha prepare fritters from banana plantain, carom leaves and Bhavnagri green chillies. This recipe works best when eaten either with tomato ketchup or any tangy sauce.

Ingredients

1 Cup Besan (Chick Pea Flour)
1/3 Cup Rice Flour
Oil For Frying
½ Tsp Turmeric Powder
¾ Tsp Baking Soda
½ Tsp Red Chillies Powder
½ Tsp Cumin Powder
Salt To Taste
A Pinch Of Hing (Asafetida)
250g Deseeded and Slit Bhavnagri Green Chillies
100g Ajwain Leaves (Carom Leaves)
250g Sliced Plantain Bananas

Tips
1.Soak Plaintain in water to avoid discoloration
2.Add a little bit of hot oil into the batter, so that while frying the Bhajjis( fritters) do not soak in a lot of oil.
