How to make MAMEKAN Japanese Super Healthy Dessert (EP218)

Today I want to share with you Mamekan, a traditional Japanese dessert.

It's a mother of Anmitsu, find in an authentic Japanese dessert restaurant, which is more famous than this simple dessert.

This dessert consists of agar jelly that is Kanten in Japanese and lots of slightly salty red peas.

This dessert is full of fiber and protein. You can have it if you are on a diet!

3 servings
Slightly salty red peas
1/2 cup dried red peas
1/4 ts fine sea salt

Agar jelly (=Kanten)
3g agar powder
400 ml water
1 tablespoon sugar

Dark sugar syrup (Kuromitsu)
2 tablespoon dark sugar
1 tablespoon rice syrup ( or corn syrup)
1 tablespoon water

Red bean Paste (=Anko)
200g dried red beans
150~180g white sugar
pinch of salt
