Canadian Thanksgiving is here... and a childhood favourite is back on the menu: Tomato AspicIngredients:2 Tbsp gelatine¼ cup cold water½ cup boiling water4 cups tomatoes (fresh or canned)1 Tbsp chopped onion½ tsp celery seed or celery stalk2 or 3 whole cloves1 tsp salt1 tsp sugar2 tsp lemon juiceMethod:Soak gelatine in cold water then dissolve in the boiling water.Cook tomatoes, onions, celery seed, cloves, sugar, and salt for 15 minutes.
