Egg Manchurian
Ingredients for Egg Mixture:
Egg 4
Salt 1/4 tsp
Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
Ingredients for Coating Mixture:
All-Purpose Flour (Maida) 1/2 cup
Corn flour 1/4 cup
Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Water as required
Garlic powder 1/2 tsp
Ingredients for Sauce:
Oil 2 tbsp
Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp
Onion (cube cut) 1/4 cup
Capsicum (cube cut) 1/4 cup
Ketchup 1 cup
Soy sauce 1 tbsp
Chili sauce 1 tbsp
Red chili flakes 1/2 tbsp
Water 1 cup
Corn flour mixture in water 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Directions for Egg Mixture:
1. In a bowl add eggs, salt and black pepper powder and mix well.
2. Now grease a white transparent dish with oil and pour the mixture in it. Cover with foil paper and steam for at least 15 mins and then take it off.
3. Now on a board place the prepared egg dish. Cut the edges finely and place the egg on the board and cut it into fine cubes and keep it aside.
Directions for Coating Mixture:
4. In a bowl add flour, corn flour, red chili powder, salt, water and garlic powder and mix well.
5. Now coat the cube shaped eggs in this mixture.
6. Then deep fry them until they are light golden in color.
Directions for Sauce Preparation:
7. On a pan, heat up the oil and add chopped garlic. Sauté it for a minute. Then add ketchup and mix well for 1 to 2 minutes. Now add soy sauce, chili sauce, red chili flakes, salt, water and mix well. Now add water and cook for almost 2 to 3 minutes.
8. Now add the prepared eggs, onion and capsicum and mix well. Add corn flour mixture and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes while mixing constantly. Cook until you reach the desired consistency.
9. Your egg Manchurian is ready.
Preparation time: 10-15 mins
Cooking time: 25-30 minutes
