Dalgona Coffee Recipe | Lockdown/Quarantine Series | Ananya Banerjee

Dalgona coffee aka ‘Phetano coffee’ in Bengali became an internet sensation overnight after it appeared on a Korean TV where an actor who tried the drink gave it the nickname dalgona because of its resemblance to the traditional Korean sponge candy of the same name. People all around the world has since then have been making it and posting on their social media making it go viral. To me, it was not something which was new at all. Bengalis have had it as ‘Pheta nu coffee’ and I still remember how my mother use to make this whipped coffee when I was young.

As someone who love coffee, I also joined the brandwagon and came up with my version of the #Dalgonacoffee. It is super easy-to-make and I am using very basic ingredients for this recipe. Here I am using Davidoff coffee Espresso 57 intense to make it but you can use any instant coffee to make it.
Hope you guys will enjoy my version of the #Dalgonacoffee.

Ingredients:
2 tbsp instant coffee
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp hot water

Method:
Place all the ingredients in the bowl and use hand mixer for 4-7 minutes to mix all until whipped, now add some ice cubes in a glass.
Add milk over it
Add prepared creamy mixture over the milk.
Add some topping of chocolate syrup(optional)

Recommended to stir it for the best taste before drinking it.
