Dahi Bhalle Chaat | Dahi Vada | Dahi Baray - Extra Fluffy | Kashmiri Tadka Twist

For all Chaat lovers out there, enjoy this spongy creamy Chatpati Dahi Bhalle Chaat recipe. Dahi bhalla or Dahi Vada or Dahi Barey is a dumpling made with split black gram (Urad dal) soaked and served with Chilled yogurt and sweet and sour Tamarind chutney. This mouthwatering recipe is easy to make anytime anywhere and can be enjoyed through all seasons. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1. Soaked Urad dal - 1 Cup
2. Salt - 1 tsp
3. Ginger - 2" cube
4 Green Chilli - 1
5. Yogurt - 1/2 litre
6. Tamarind chutney - 4-5 tbsp
7. Chat masala - 1 tsp
8. Red Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
9. Water - 1/2 cup
10. Sugar (Optional) - 3 tbsp

Method:

1. Soak the Urad dal for 6 to 7 hrs.
2. Grind with ginger , gren chilli and salt
3. Make the consistency not too thin not too thick.
4. Add the batter dopplos and deep fry
5. Take the vadas out from the oil when its fried from all sides and then soak in the water or butter milk for 10 mins
6. take out the vadas from the water and squeeze
7. Place the wadas in the serving dish
8. Add chilled sweetened yogurt over it followed by tamarind chutney
9. Spring some chat masala and red chilli powder
10. Serve chilled
