When winter is here, make this hash brown inspired Crispy Kand (Purple Yam) and enjoy!CRISPY KANDIngredients300 grams purple yam (kand)Salt to taste1 tsp onion powder1 tsp garlic powder½ tsp black pepper powder2-3 tbsps corn flourOil for cooking½ cup cream cheese¼ tsp paprika powder1 tsp chopped chives + to sprinkle1 tbsp fresh creamMethod1. Peel the purple yam and grate thickly.2. Add salt, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper powder, corn flour and mix well.3. Heat a nonstick tawa. Place a greased cookie cutter and add a portion of purple yam mixture and press well.4. Drizzle some oil and cook on low heat for 6-8 minutes or till the underside is golden brown and crisp.5. Flip and cook on other side for 4-5 minutes on low heat.6. For the dip, take cream cheese in a bowl. Add salt, black pepper powder and mix well.7.
