Coffee Crme Brulee Coffee Dessert Recipe Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Coffee Creme Brulee is a variation of the classic French dessert, Creme Brulee. It is made by adding coffee to the custard mixture and then caramelizing the sugar on top to create a crispy, caramelized crust. It can be served as a standalone dessert or paired with other coffee-flavored treats.

COFFEE CREME BURLEE

Ingredients

2 cups fresh cream
cup ground coffee
cup castor sugar + to sprinkle
6 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence

Method

1. Preheat the oven at 160C.
2. Fill some water in a moka pot machine, add ground coffee in its strainer. Attach the top part and cover it with the lid. Place the pot on direct flame. Bring it to a boil on low heat till the decoction gets collected in the top compartment of the moka pot machine.
3. Heat fresh cream in a deep pan, add castor sugar and cook till the sugar melts.
4. Add the coffee decoction into cream and mix well. Set aside to cool slightly.
5. Break the egg yolks from the eggs whites in a bowl. Add the vanilla essence into the yolks and mix well. (Use the egg whites for any other recipe of your choice.)
6. Add a portion of coffee-cream mixture and mix well, gradually add the remaining mixture and mix till well combined.
7. Strain the mixture into a jar and pour into individual oven proof cups, place the cups on a baking tray, add some water in the tray and place it in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
8. Bring the cups out of the oven and allow to cool to room temperature. Place them in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
9. To serve, sprinkle some castor sugar over the prepared cups and caramelise the sugar using a blow torch.
10. Serve.
