Chingri Bhorta - Spicy Stir-fried Prawn Paste

Spicy Prawn mash with Onion, Garlic & little help from mustard paste and lots of green chilies and drizzle of raw mustard oil to induce the kick in it.

Chingri Bhorta (Prawn Paste)

Ingredients:
1 cup Prawns, Deveined, de-shelled
¼ cup Onion, chopped
1 tsp Garlic, minced
1-2 Green chili, chopped
2 dried red chili
½ tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Red chili powder
3 tbsp Mustard oil
Salt to taste

Method:
1. Apply turmeric powder and salt to taste to the prawns
2. Heat 1 tbsp mustard oil in a pan and sauté the prawns for a minute, drain and keep aside
3. Heat 1 tbsp in a same pan add dried red chili, onion, garlic and green chili and sauté till the garlic emits a nice aroma. Add red chili powder, salt and mix well
4. Transfer the prepared masala and sautéed prawns in mixer jar and process it till it forms a coarse mixture.
