Chinese Styled Spiced Beef Five Spice Braised Beef Shank

Hi everyone, today we are making Chinese styled spiced beef. Its tender, flavorful, and perfect for your dinner table. It could be consumed hot as a main dish, or served cold as an appetizer. Ingredients:
1kg beef shank

Seasonings:
Dried spices:
5 g cinnamon barks
3 g star anises
1 g bay leaves
3 g dried chili peppers
3 g Sichuan peppers
2 g cloves
2 g coriander seeds
3 g fennel seeds
2 g orange peel

Condiments:
5 tbsp light soy sauce
4 tbsp dark soy sauce
3 tbsp Shaoxing cooking wine
1/2 cup soy bean paste
1/2 cup sweet bean sauce
8g rock sugar

Fresh Spices:
1 ginger knob
2 green onion stems
