Sweet corn kernels and bits of capsicum mixed with a creamy chutney-mayo, sandwiched between bread and toasted with butter till golden brown and crisp. CHILLI MILLI TAWA TOAST SANDWICHIngredients½ medium green capsicum, chopped2 green chillies, crushed8 brown bread slices, edges trimmed3 tablespoons eggless mayonnaise2 tablespoons sweet corn kernels, boiled1 teaspoon mustard pasteButter for spreading8 cheese slicesGreen chutney½ small bunch fresh coriander leaves2 green chillies1 tablespoon peanutsSalt to taste1 teaspoon sugarJuice of 1 lemon2 teaspoons sevMethod1. To prepare green chutney, grind together coriander leaves, broken green chillies, peanuts, salt, castor sugar, lemon juice, 1 tablespoon water and 2 teaspoons sev to a fine paste. Transfer in a bowl.2. To prepare stuffing, take mayonnaise in a bowl. Add capsicum, green chillies, corn kernels, mustard paste and ½ of green chutney and mix well. 3. Cut each bread slice into 4 equal squares and spread some butter on one side of each bread square. 4. Cut cheese slices into 4 equal squares and place 1 cheese square on prepared bread squares.5. Spread some mayonnaise mixture on top of half prepared bread squares and cover with remaining bread squared.6. Heat a non-stick tawa.7. Apply some butter on one side of prepared sandwiches and place them on hot tawa with butter side down. Apply some butter on the top side of sandwiches and toast the sandwiches from both sides till light golden brown.8.
