This Video shows how to make Biryani in Oven.

Cook chicken first 20 minutes with 425° F. THEN change temperature to 400° F. and keep for 30 min to Dum. Keep your tray in the middle rack in the oven always.

if you see any water in the bottom of the tray after 50 minutes of cook time,you need to dum at 400°F for 15 to 20 min extra time.

Few ovens may require little more temperatures than the above. If your oven is one of those, adjusted temperatures are 450° for 20 minutes and then 425° for 30 minutes.

Tip: sprinkle little ( around a half cup) hot water on rice before you put it in the oven. use water that you used to boil rice for better flavor. This water will help top layer rice not to dry.

Don't use the Broiler option at any time.

Here are the ingredients to make Chicken Biryani in Oven for Full Tray

Ingredients For chicken Marination:

Chicken - 1 1/2 Kg to 2 Kg
Ginger Garlic Paste- 2 tbs or 6 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 2 to 3 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 3/4 to 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tbs or 6 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Kasoori methi - 1/2 tsp
Curd - 1cup
Coriander leaves - 1 bunch
Mint- 1 small bunch
Green chilies - 18 to 20
Cashew powder with 10 cashews
Lemon - 1
Oil - as needed
ghee / butter - 2 tsp (optional)

salt - as needed
tasting salt - a pinch (optional)
green cardamom - 10 to 12
black cardamom -2
cloves - 18
cinnamon - 1 full stick
star anise - 4 to 5 stars
mace - 1 to 2
marati moggu - 6
shah jeera - 1 1/2 tsp
bay leaves - 5 to 6

Basmati Rice - 8 to 9 rice cups
Oil - 1 tbs or 3 tsp
water - as needed
bay leaf -2
cinnamon - 2 inch stick - 1
green cardamom - 4 to 5
shah jeera - 1 tsp
cloves - 6
Green Chillies - 2 (Optional)

Other Ingredients:

ghee/butter - 1/4 cup
Biryani essence/ Kewra essence - 1 tsp (optional)
