Chawal Ke Pakore | Recipes Under 15 Minutes | Chef Jaaie | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Crispy deep fried pakore made using cooked rice.

CHAWAL KE PAKORE

Ingredients

1½ cups cooked rice (chawal)
Oil for deep-frying
2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 inch ginger, grated
½ teaspoon cumin powder
½ teaspoon coriander powder
½ cup crushed roasted peanuts
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon chaat masala
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons gram flour (besan)
Fresh coriander sprig for garnishing

Method

1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
2. Mix together rice, coriander leaves, ginger, cumin powder, coriander powder, peanuts, chilli powder, chaat masala and salt and mix.
3. Add gram flour and mix. Add little water and mix well.
4. Divide the mixture into small equal portions and drop them in the hot oil. Deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
5. Serve hot garnished with a coriander sprig.
