Catfish Peppersoup

Catfish pepper soup is a delicious meal and one of the ultimate Nigerian comfort foods thats also very easy to prepare. It is famously called point and kill because of how the catfish are bought at local markets; you select your desired fish by pointing at it and it is killed and prepared for you.

INGREDIENTS
Catfish
Scent leaves
Salt
Seasoning cubes
Olive oil
Scotch bonnet pepper
Garlic
Onion
Pepper soup condiments

STEPS
1. Rinse scotch bonnet peppers, garlic, and onions
2. Slice peppers, garlic, and onions into tiny bits
3. Rinse scent leaves and slice into small bits
4. Cut catfish into sizeable chunks and wash properly
5. Place a clean pot on heat
6. Add olive oil and leave for few minutes
7. Add onions and fry
8. Add water, seasoning cubes and allow to boil
9. Add pepper, garlic, and pepper soup condiments
10. Add scent leaves
11. Add catfish and cover pot
12. Allow to cook for 10-15 minutes
13. Serve hot and enjoy!
