Chocolate Chip Pecan Blondies Recipe - Bars or Cookies?Blondies... The original 'Brownie' recipe before chocolate muscled in and took over. Here we do a version of a blondies recipe that features chocolate chips and pecans. Often they are called 'Blonde Brownies' or Blondie Brownies'... we just call this recipe delicious!Ingredients:175g (¾ cup) butter500 mL (2 cups) firmly packed brown sugar2 eggs15 mL (1 Tbsp) pure vanilla extract 500 mL (2 cups) all-purpose flour 10 mL (2 tsp) baking powder5 mL (1 tsp) coarse salt250 mL (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips250 mL (1 cup) chopped pecans Method:Preheat oven to 180ºC (350°F). Grease an 9x9" baking pan and line with a parchment paper sling. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. Mix in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Spread into prepared pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tester inserted in centre comes out almost clean.
