Banana Buns / Kelyache Buns is a popular South Indian breakfast recipe where bananas are mixed with all purpose flour, sugar, cumin seeds and salt. Then rolled into small puris and deep fried in hot oil.

Ingredients:

3 Bananas
1 & 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
2 tbsp Sugar
A Pinch of Soda
Salt to taste
2 tsp Oil
Water

Method:

- In a large bowl add bananas, all purpose flour, cumin seeds, sugar, a pinch of soda, salt and oil. Mix everything well with your hands.
- Add water as required and make a soft dough.
- Ferment this dough for 10-12 hours.
- Heat oil enough for deep frying.
- Take small portions of the dough and roll out medium size buns.
- Fry the buns in hot oil till golden.
- Enjoy the Banana Buns with a cup of tea.
