Apple Toffee Tart is yummy, delightful and sinful recipe. With the stickiness of toffee and the flavours of apple blending in a heavenly medley.

APPLE TOFFEE TART

Ingredients

1½ medium red Washington Apples
1½ medium green Washington Apples
200 gms short crust pastry
3 tbsps toffee sauce + for drizzling

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180° C.
2. Deseed the red Washington Apples, cut into quarters lengthwise and further cut each quarter into 3-4 slices. Transfer in a bowl.
3. Deseed the green Washington Apples, cut into quarters lengthwise and further cut each quarter into 3-4 slices. Transfer in another bowl.
4. Add 1½ tbsp toffee sauce to red apple slices and remaining toffee sauce to green apple slices and mix well.
5. Roll out the short crust pastry into 1 cm thick rectangle sheet and line it on a small baking tray.
6. Arrange the toffee coated red apple slices and green apple slices alternatively on the lined tray and drizzle some toffee sauce on top.
7. Put the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven and demould.
8. Cut into pieces and serve hot.
