1934 Brown Sugar Pudding Recipe - Old Cookbook Show - Glen And Friends Cooking
Today on the Old Cook Book Show we are recreating a recipe from a Clabber Girl Baking Powder cookbook. These old cookbooks from baking powder companies are great, and contain some really solid old cookbook recipes. So glad we did this on the old recipe show.

Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
2 ½ cups water
2 tablespoons butter
½ cup sugar
1 cup sifted flour
2 teaspoons Clabber Girl Baking Powder
½ cup seedless raisins

Method:
Combine brown sugar and 2 cups of the water in a saucepan and boil for 10 minutes. Add the butter and turn into a greased 1 ½ quart baking dish. Combine the granulated sugar, flour baking powder, ½ cup water and raisins, and pour this batter onto the syrup. DO NOT STIR. Bake 25 minutes in a hot oven (400 degrees F). Serve hot or cold. Serves 6.
