We are back in the kitchen with another depression era recipe from a cookbook published in 1930 - 1930 Cheese Custard Recipe.Ingredients:1 pound cottage cheese1 cup granulated sugar4 eggs separated1 bottle cream (250 mL whipping 35% cream)grated rind of one lemon2 scant Tbsp flourMethod:Preheat oven to 375ºF.Rub cottage cheese through a fine sieve.Mix in lemon zest, sugar, flour, salt and egg yolks.Whip egg whites, and the cream to stiff peaks.Fold cream into cheese mixture.Fold egg whites into cream mixture.Transfer to a buttered baking dish, and bake for 10 minutes.Reduce oven temp to 325ºF and bake 50 minutes more.The ricotta cheesecake we mention: https://youtu.be/nHphsxndQusLe Gourmet TV Is Now - Glen & Friends Cooking!#LeGourmetTV #GlenAndFriendsCooking #OldCookbookShow
