Why OG Hole-in-the-Wall Restaurants are Legit

Why Old & Dirty Restaurants are Legit | Korean Spicy Stir-fried Monkfish, Ahgujjim

Since coming to Korea, I've been craving Agujjim, Korean spicy stir-fried monkfish. So we went to a famous Agujjim restaurant near our airbnb. It had a rustic atmosphere with great vibes!

At first, ahjumma seemed a bit unfriendly, but the service was warm, and the Agujjim was incredibly generous. They had self-service additional side dishes, and we ordered the medium level of spiciness. It was funny because the spiciest option was called "Sangui Baram" which means talk to the owner/server.

Unlike regular Agujjim restaurants in Seoul, this place had a lot of monkfish in it. Even though we ordered medium-level spicy, it was pretty spicy that it made me crave ice cold beer! Of course, we finished our meal with fried rice. It's a must!!

We had a satisfying meal with the generous Agujjim, three cold beers, and fried rice, all for $44. Winner!
