Julie tests Spicy Worm Brittle to see if its the perfect Halloween trick (or treat) to make your guests squirm.Subscribe to Julie: http://taste.md/1YPSvqQ Ingredients2/3 cup of water1 habanero chili1 1/3 cup of granulated sugar1/3 cup of corn syrup2 tbsp of butter1/2 tsp of baking soda1/2 cup Dry Roasted Meal WormsSteps1.) Grease and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a blender combine the water and chilli pepper and blend until smooth. Run the mixture through a sieve to remove the flesh of the pepper. Set aside.2.) In a large pot add sugar, spicy water, and corn syrup and cook over medium-high heat. Brush down the sides with water and a pastry brush and cook until the mixture reaches 290F. Once the sugar reaches the temperature and is a nice amber color turn off the heat then add the baking soda and butter. Quickly stir the mixture until it's evenly mixed and then gently add in the worms and stir.3.) Pour the mixture onto the baking sheet and spread it with the oiled spatula. Once flat, let cool completely.
