Wasabi Chicken Tikka | Cooking Classy with Chef Afraz | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

If you are hosting a party at home, you need to try this delicious chicken tikka with a spice hit of wasabi. The recipe is made to impress.

WASABI CHICKEN TIKKA

Ingredients

½ teaspoon wasabi
250 grams boneless chicken leg, cut into pieces
½ cup hung yogurt
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon spinach puree
2 tablespoons fresh cream
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
1 tablespoon oil + for greasing
1 medium yellow bell pepper
1 medium red bell pepper
Mint mayonnaise as required
Small onion rings for garnishing
Small radish square slices for garnishing
Slices cheery tomatoes for garnishing
Micro greens for garnishing

Method

1. Take hung yogurt in a bowl. Add wasabi, salt, crushed peppercorns, lemon juice and spinach puree and mix well.
2. Add cream and mix. Add garam masala powder and mix. Add oil and mix. Add chicken pieces and mix well. Refrigerate to marinate for 1-2 hours.
3. Preheat oven to 200º C.
4. Cut yellow bell pepper and red bell pepper into cubes.
5. Insert 1 yellow bell pepper cube, 1 chicken pieces, 1 red bell pepper cube, 1 chicken piece and 1 yellow bell pepper into each bamboo skewer.
6. Line a baking tray with an aluminium foil, grease with some oil and place the prepared skewers.
7. Put the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
8. Put some mint mayonnaise on one side of a serving platter and spread using a comb to create a pattern.
9. Garnish with few onion rings, radish cubes, cherry tomato slices and micro greens. Place the tikkis on the other side and serve hot.
