Warm Bajra Salad #MilletKhazana Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

An ultimate healthy warm salad made up of cooked bajra (pearl millet), sauted fresh veggies, and served over a bed of assorted lettuce leaves.

WARM BAJRA SALAD

Ingredients

cup pearl millet (bajra)
Salt to taste
1 tbsps oil
1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
2 small onions, chopped
1 small carrot, grated
4 tbsps fresh green peas
2 green chillies, chopped
1 tsp ginger paste
Salt to taste
1 tbsp sugar
1 small capsicum, chopped
cup cabbage, chopped
tsp soy sauce
tsp vinegar
1/3 cup spring onion greens, chopped
Assorted lettuce leaves, as required
Toasted white sesame seeds, for garnish

Method


1. Take bajra in a large bowl, add water and wash for 2-3 times. Add fresh water and soak for 8-10 hours.
2. Drain the water and add bajra into pressure cooker. Add salt to taste 2 cups water mix well, cover and cook under pressure for 7-8 whistles on medium heat.
3. Open the lid once the pressure is reduces, mix well.
4. Heat oil in a non stick wok, add garlic and saut till it turns golden brown, add the onions, and mix till golden brown.
5. Add the carrot, fresh green peas, green chillies and saut for 2-3 mins, add ginger paste, salt to taste, sugar mix well, capsicum, cabbage saut for 1-2 minutes on high heat.
6. Add the cooked bajra mix well, soy sauce, vinegar, spring onion green and mix well.
7. Arrange the assorted lettuce leaves in serving bowl, add the salad over it and sprinkle the toasted white sesame seeds, and serve warm.Click to Subscribe: http://bit.ly/1h0pGXf
