Vegetable Biryani in Pressure Cooker  

Pressure cooker - Vegetable biryani recipe - an easy and quick method of preparing delicious vegetable biryani in a pressure cooker. There is no need of pre-cooking of veggies and rice. 


[INGREDIENTS] -
Rice(basmati) - 2 cups
Water - 720 ml(3 cups)
Thinly sliced onion - 1 medium size
5 beans, 1 carrot, 1 potato - chopped
Fresh/frozen peas - 1/4 cup
Cauliflower - 10 - 15 florets gobi
1 inch cinnamon stick / dalchini
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp turmeric / haldi
1 tsp red chilli powder
Fried onions - birista
small pice of a nutmeg (jayikayi)
1 star anise
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Bay leaf- 1
Cardamom(elaichi) - 4
Clove(lavang) - 7
Shahi biryani masala - 2 tsp
Salt to taste or 2 tsp
Ghee - 3 tbsp
¼ tsp cumin powder
Few coriander leaves - chopped
Few mint/pudina leaves
Curd - 1 cup (240 ml)
