These pakodas get done in a jiffy and taste awesome with any chutney of your choice. Garmagaram pakode with a hot cup of tea and some teekhi chutney- pure bliss!

URAD DAL PAKODA

Ingredients

1 cup Tata Sampann Whole Urad Dal
A pinch of asafoetida
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander
2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
1 inch ginger, finely chopped
1 medium onion, finely chopped
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Coconut chutney to serve

Method

1. Wash Tata Sampann Whole Urad Dal with water for 2-3 times and soak in sufficient water for 3-4 hours.
2. Grind the soaked urad dal with ½ cup water in a grinder to a coarse paste.
3. Add asafoetida, crushed black peppercorns, coriander, green chillies, ginger, onion and salt. Mix well.
4. Heat oil in a kadai and drop small portions in hot oil and deep fry till golden and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
5. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
