A great recipe that is full of ingredients that provide the necessary nutrients to fight the cold!

URAD DAL GOOND KE LADDOO

Ingredients

2 cups Tata Sampann Urad Dal
3 tbsp ghee + for greasing
2 tbsp flax seed
½ cup edible gum resin (gond)
¾ cup chopped jaggery
Pinch of green cardamom powder
¼ cup chopped almond
¼ cup chopped pista
¼ cup raisins
1 tbsp crushed dried rose petals
4-5 tbsp milk

Method

1. Add 2 cup Tata sampan urad dal in bowl wash and drain on absorbent cloth and let it dry
2. Take a non-stick pan add Tata sampan urad dal dry roast till light golden brown, meanwhile take small shallow pan add 2 tbsp ghee, add½ cup edible gum sauté on low flame, till gum get puffed, remove in bowl.
3. In same pan add 2 tbsp flax seed and roast for 30 sec and mix with the roasted gum. Transfer the roasted urad dal and cool aside.
4. Take a mixer jar add roasted urad dal and blend into a coarse powder, remove in bowl.
5. Take deep pan add remaining ghee add ¾ cup chopped jaggery, pinch of green cardamom powder and melt the jaggery in pan add ¼ cup chopped almond , ¼ cup chopped pista ¼ cup raisins and blended urad dal powder, 1 tbsp dried rose petals (crushed) mix well and transfer into bowl.
6. Crush the roasted edible gum and add into prepare mixture let the mixture cool. Add 4-5 tbsp milk and Mix well and grease your palms with ghee and take small portions of the mixture and shape them into balls.
7. Laddoos is ready serve.
