We head to Mr Hao to tackle a gigantic plate loaded with over 200 chillies tossed with fried chicken wings, lotus root, chips and rice cakes, we hunt down a unique eating experience of malatang where you pay for your food by weight before its thrown into a spicy, numbing broth at Hot & Spicy Pot and share one of the world’s oldest street foods, shaokao- chinese bbq skewers loaded with fragrant spices and cooked over charcoal at Maya BBQ. We’re hunting down Auckland’s best eats, hit subscribe and get ready for some mouthwatering food.

What we ate and where we ate it:

1. Hao’s spicy chicken wings at Mr Hao, 365 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024. Open Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday 5:00pm to midnight and Friday to Saturday 5:00pm to midnight.

2. Spicy Dry Pot and Sichuan Specialty Pot from Hot & Spicy Pot, 605 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1041. Open 7 days, 11:00am to 11:00pm.

3. Chinese BBQ at Maya BBQ, 345 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024.
Open daily from 5:00pm to midnight.
