Turmeric fried fish (sand whitings)

Southern Thai cuisine uses a lot of turmeric. The spice gives vibrant colour to the food, as well as medicinal quality and health benefit. Either the fresh root or powder, if you don't have it already in your cupboard, we recommend you get one now. Even a pinch can add a new twist to the ordinary dishes.
