Hot Cocoa Chocolate Recipe
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Guittard Cocoa Rouge Cocoa Powder
2 Tbsp. coconut sugar
1 cup whole milk
tsp. Vanilla extract
14 g. 50% or higher cocoa, I used Bakers semi sweet chocolate, 2 squares, chopped
cup half and half, optional, can use whole milk
tsp. Instant coffee, I used instant espresso, optional
tsp. Ground ceylon cinnamon
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Place the cocoa powder, the coconut sugar and 2 Tbsp. of the whole milk into a small saucepan. Use a whisk to combine these ingredients into a smooth paste.

Add the milk to the pan along with the half and half, cinnamon, salt, coffee, and the bakers chocolate. Place over low heat and whisk until the chocolate has dissolved.

Continue whisking and heating the hot chocolate until the temperature is 190 degree F. or just plain old hot. Dont bring this to a boil. Once the hot cocoa is hot, turn off the heat and add the vanilla. Stir and serve. Easy peasy.

You can serve this with marshmallows and whipping cream, homemade is best but I used the canned version in the video. It was a gift from a neighbor.

Speaking of gifts. You can make this recipe a gift by combining the cocoa powder, coconut sugar, coffee, cinnamon, the chopped up bakers chocolate and placing it in a small mason jar. You can make as many servings as you wish or whatever will fit into your mason jar. Tie a ribbon around the jar and include instructions on adding the milk, vanilla extract and half and half. You will want to use 2 1/2 to 3 tablespoons of mix per serving. Makes a wonderful Christmas gift.
