Teaching Kids to Eat Healthy: Why we Should "Eat the Rainbow"

Katie Kimball, the voice of healthy kids cooking and a mom of 4, flexes her teacher muscles in this short video made for kids ages 4-12. It's a challenge: Eat the Rainbow!

Why should we eat different colors of vegetables? Check out the beautiful colors and imagery to catch kids' eyes, and schedule a time to shop for a "rainbow" of produce. If you have your kids help choose and prepare the food, they'll be more likely to try it if they felt a little hesitant at first!

Present the food in different ways, too! Raw with dip, sauteed in bacon grease or butter, roasted with olive oil and seasoning, steamed with cheese sauce - whatever it takes!

We can help your kids learn to cut up veggies too: https://youtu.be/wTVAalOpJgQ
