Growing up in Cameroon, we made Cameroonian Fried Chicken during Christmas or special occasions. This chicken is loaded with flavor and I hope you love it as much as I do.

INGREDIENTS FOR CAMEROONIAN FRIED CHICKEN
- 8 pounds chicken (about 4 kg)
- 10 cloves of garlic
- 3-4 inches ginger
- 7 sprigs of basil
- 1/4 leek
- 1 habanero pepper
- Half a medium onion
- 5 sprigs parsley
- 2 pebe (African nutmeg)
- 1 teaspoon ground 'contri onions' (rondelles)
- 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder (or Maggi seasoning cubes)
*For best results, let the chicken marinate overnight in the fridge before cooking.*
