Grilled Pomfret Fish

Ingredients for Masala:
Mace 2 pieces
Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Black peppercorns 1 tbsp
cloves 8-10
Cinnamon sticks 2
Carom seeds 1/2 tsp
Bay leaf 1
Red chili powder 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Lemon juice 3 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp

Ingredients for marinade:
Yogurt 1 cup
Prepared masala 1 tbsp
Gram flour 2 tbsp
Tandoori masala 1 tbsp
Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
Mustard oil 2 tbsp

Ingredients for Grilled Fish:
Black Pomfret fish 900 g
Prepared masala
Prepared marinade
Oil (for brushing) as required

Directions for Masala:
1- In a grinder add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, mace, black peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon sticks, carom seeds and bay leaf and grind It well. Your dry masala is ready.
2- Transfer 2 tbsp of dry masala in a bowl, add red chili powder, salt, turmeric powder, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste and mix well. your masala is ready.

Directions for marinade preparation:
1- In a bowl add prepared masala paste, gram flour, yogurt, tandoori masala, red chili flakes, mustard oil and mix well. Your Marinade is ready.


Directions for Grilled Fish Preparation:
1- Take the fish and place deep cuts on it with knife.
2- Now coat it with the prepared masala paste. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
3- Now marinate the fish in marinade and refrigerate again for 1 hour.
4- Now grill the fish for 2-3 mins from each side or until brown in color. Brush oil as needed.
5- Your pomfret grilled fish is ready. Serve and enjoy.
