TAI-MESHI (RED SNAPPER RICE) | Japanese Traditional Celebratory dish (EP274) | Kitchen Princess Bamboo

Today I am going to be making, TAI-MESHI (red snapper rice.)

TAI (Red Snapper or Sea Bream) is considered a very special ingredient serve on a special day.
The aroma and Umami goes into the grain and that make the rice so delicious!

It's a crowd-pleasing dish.
Give it a try for the next family gathering!

Serves 4
2 rice cups Japanese short-grain rice ※rice cup=180ml
1 red snapper (about 300g)
1/2 teaspoon salt for red snapper
2 tablespoons Mirin
2 tablespoons Light soy sauce
(or a little bit less amount of regular soy sauce and a pinch of salt)
3 small pieces Kombu Kelp
15g fresh ginger
