Enjoy these jaggery flavoured rice flour vadas with a hot cup of tea in this chilly season.

SWEET RICE VADA

Ingredients

1 cup rice flour
¾ cup jaggery powder
A pinch of salt
½ tsp Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder
¼ tsp green cardamom powder
A pinch of nutmeg powder
2 tsps oil + for deep frying
Tea for serving

Method

1. Heat 1 cup water in a nonstick pan along with salt, Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder, green cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and jaggery powder, allow it to boil.
2. Add rice flour and mix well, switch of the flame, cover and set aside for 3-4 minutes.
3. Transfer the mixture in a plate, add 2 tsps oil and knead well so as to form a smooth dough.
4. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape it into vadas. Deep fry till golden brown in colour, drain on an absorbent paper.
5. Serve hot with tea.
