Serves 3-4 persons as side dish
Tomatoes are the crown jewels of Greek (and Mediterranean) Summer. Greek Tomatoes have a sweet, acidic taste and are very juicy in the Summer season.
There are endless ways to enjoy our delicious tomatoes and this is one of them, a new version to the renowned Greek (horiatiki) Salad.
This salad recipe, prepared by my beloved daughter Melissa, uses mainly tomatoes and cucumber mixed with fresh herbs and an unforgettable yoghurt dressing scented with sumac.
Do you love Greek Salad? Then try this version: easy to make and eat.
Suitable for lacto-vegetarians. For vegans and fasting, just substitute the yoghurt with vegan replacement.

INGREDIENTS:
Ingredients for the Salad:
400 gr / 14 oz / 4-5 Pomodori Tomatoes or 2 large Tomatoes, ripe
Cucumber, cut in half rounds (like crescents)
8 Radishes
2-3 tbsp. / 8-10 pcs. Caper Berries
sweet Onion
2 tbsp. fresh Mint, finely chopped
2 tbsp. fresh Parsley, finely chopped
Optional: Pomegranate seeds to garnish

Ingredients for the Salad Dressing:
cup / 60 ml / 4 tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
30 ml / 2 tbsp. Greek Yoghurt
About 30 ml / 1.5-2 tbsp. Lime or Lemon Juice
1 tsp. Sumac powder plus a bit extra on top
- tsp. Freshly Ground Salt
