Stir Fried Moongre | Moongre ki Sabzi | FoodFood

A quick, easy and simple stir-fry made with fresh radish pods to make sure you make the most of this Winter season!

STIR FRIED MOONGRE

Ingredients

300 grams red and green fresh radish pods (moongre), cut into 3 inch pieces
Salt to taste
1½ tbsps oil
6-8 garlic cloves, sliced
½ inch ginger, cut into thin strips
2 green chillies, slit
1 large onion, sliced
White pepper powder to taste
1 tsp light soy sauce
½ tsp sugar
1 tsp white vinegar
2 tsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
Toasted white sesame seeds to sprinkle

Method

1. Boil sufficient water in a deep nonstick pam. Add salt, radish pods and blanch for 2 minutes.
2. Transfer in chilled water so as to avoid excess cooking.
3. Heat oil in a nonstick wok. Add garlic and sauté till golden brown. Add ginger, green chillies and onion and sauté on high heat for 2 minutes.
4. Drain the blanched radish pods and add to the pan. Add salt, white pepper powder, light soy sauce and sugar and mix well. Cook for 1 minute.
5. Switch off the heat and add vinegar, coriander leaves and mix well.
6. Transfer in a serving plate, sprinkle white sesame seeds and serve hot.
