This saucy and delectable dessert is the perfect thing to impress your guests over dinner.STICKY CHOCOLATE DATE AND WALNUT PUDDING Ingredients 1½ cups refined flour (maida) 1 cup seedless dates, chopped ¾ cup chopped California walnuts 2 tbsps butter¾ cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 tsp baking powder ½ tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla essence Scoops of vanilla ice cream for serving Sauce 2 tbsps butter ¾ cup brown sugar 2 tbsps cocoa powderMethod1. Preheat oven to 180° C.2. Soak dates in 1 cup hot water. 3. To prepare sauce, heat butter in a small deep non-stick pan. Add brown sugar and mix. Add cocoa powder and ½ cup water, mix and simmer till the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and set aside. 4. Cream together butter and brown sugar in a bowl using an electric beater till light and fluffy. Add egg and whisk well. 5. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt in the butter-cream mixture. Add dates alongwith water, California walnuts and vanilla essence and fold well. 6. Put the mixture into a square glass baking dish and spread. Pour the prepared sauce on top, make a few gaps in between to let the sauce get in and level it out. 7. Put the dish into the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. 8.
