There are many different variations of it, but we made ours in single portions where the sago holds together better and easier to handle. We decided to make it 3 layers, with a layer of gula melaka in the center. The flavour of pandan and sweetness from the gula melaka mixed with the texture of sago is just a match made in heaven.
