Sprout aur Palak ki Khichdi Chef Harpal Singh

Sprout aur Palak ki Khichdi ek nutritious and delicious dish hai, jo protein-rich sprouts aur iron-rich palak ko milake banti hai. Yeh khichdi easy to prepare hai aur health benefits ke sath aati hai.

Ingredient Quantity
Rice 1 cup
Ghee 2 tbsp
Whole green gram soaked 1 cup
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Water 10-12 cup
Ghee 1 tbsp
Asafoetida tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Dry red Chilli 3 no
Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
Green Chilli chopped 3-4 no
Curry leaves 10-15 no
Onion chopped 2 no
Salt to taste
Tomato chopped 1 no
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Red Chilli powder 2 tsp
Turmeric powder tsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Mix sprouts 1 cup
Spinach 1 bunch
Water as required
Coriander chopped 2 tbsp
Ghee 2 tbsp
Coriander chopped for garnish
Method
1. Take the rice in a bowl and rinse it once.
2. Place the pressure cooker in medium flame and heat the ghee. Add rinse rice in it and saut for 2-3 min.
3. Add soaked whole green gram, turmeric, salt, water and mix well. Close the lid and blow for five whistles.
4. Take a handi in medium flame and add ghee, asafetida, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, dry red Chilli, chopped ginger, chopped Garlic, chopped green Chilli and saut.
5. Now add curry leaves, chopped onion, salt and saut for 2-3 min.
6. Add chopped tomato and fry 3-4 min.
7. Now add coriander powder, red Chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, mix sprouts and mix well. Cook for 5 minute.
8. Now take a bunch of spinach and chop it finely. Add chopped spinach and mix well. Let it cook for a minute.
9. Pour some water in the pressure cooker and mashed some rice in it.
10. Now add mashed rice in a handi and add chopped coriander mix well.
11. Now side out in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander & ghee.
12. Enjoy hot and healthy sprout spinach khichdi with your family
