Today the Jacques Pépin Foundation released Cook with Jacques Pépin & Friends: Volume 3 and I’m so proud to have my recipe for Spaghetti & Shrimp in a Sunny Marinara Sauce featured in the Video Recipe Book. Jacques is one of the most revered culinary luminaries of our time. His dedication to helping others is realized in his foundation, which supports free culinary and life skills training.I admired Jacques’ techniques by watching him on PBS, I was a young Italian chef and was charmed by his French style of cooking. Then I got to meet him through Julia Child. We ended up cooking a special event at Julia’s house and remained friends and collaborated on many fund raising events thereafter. I loved being in the kitchen and learning from him but what I love most are the events at his home in Connecticut and playing Petanque, Boules or in Italian Bocce with him and the other guests.
