SORREL LEAVES DAL | Vahchef - VahRehVah

Sorrel leaves dal is one of the delicious dal recipes from South Indian cuisine, very simple to make and tastes yum.

Ingredients:
• Red gram - 1 cup.
• Peanuts - 1/2 cup.
• Oil - 2 teaspoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Dry red chili - 3 number.
• Garlic (chopped) - 3 clove.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 1 springs.
• Sorrel leaves - 2 bunch.
Method:
In a pressure cooker add soaked red gram, peanuts and along with the water cook until is dal is soft.
Then heat a oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, dry red chilies, garlic, turmeric powder and cook till the raw flavor is gone.
Now add curry leaves, sorrel leaves fry for few minutes.
Finally add boiled red gram, salt and mix well.
Now let it cook for another 3-4 mins and serve hot with rice or roti.
