Sooji Appam | सूजी के आप्पे | Sooji Appam Recipe with Kriti Refined Oil

Ingredients:
2 Cups Suji
1 Cup Curd
1 to 1.5 Cups Water
Salt to taste
1 Chopped Onion
2 Chopped Green Chillis
1 Chopped Tomato
1 Grated Carrots
A handful of chopped Coriander
1 tsp Chilli powder
1 tsp Jeera
4-5 tbsp Kriti Refined Oil
1 tbsp Mustard seeds
10-12 Curry leaves
½ tsp Baking soda

Method:
Whisk the suji, curd, water and salt until a smooth thick batter is formed.

Cover it and keep it to rest for half hour.

Now, mix the onions, green chillies, tomato, carrots, coriander, chilli powder, jeera to the batter and mix well.

Heat 1 tbsp Kriti Refined Oil in a tempering pan, add mustard seeds and curry leaves and let it crackle for 10 seconds.

Put this tempering into the prepared batter and mix the baking soda in it.

Take an appam pan and brush the insides of the pan with Kriti Refined Oil.

Put spoonfuls of batter onto the appam moulds and cover and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden on one side.

Using a toothpick, flip the appams and let it cook covered for another 2-3 minutes on medium flame.

Remove the appams from the moulds and serve hot with coconut chutney.
