Snowball Cookies Recipe (Pecan Balls) | Easy Christmas Snowballs by WOW Recipes

Try this easiest way of making Snowball Cookies as special Christmas Cookies. These are also called as Pecan Balls, Snowballs, Mexican Wedding Cookies. We are made these Christmas snowball cookies with almonds and without walnuts.

These snowball cookies are round in shape, loaded with nuts, freshly baked and rolled in powdered sugar. And also these are the perfect holiday cookie platter with a glass of milk or tea.

ALMOND SNOWBALL COOKIES

INGREDIENTS:
All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
Cashew nuts - 3 tbsp
Almonds - 3 tbsp
Pistachio - 3 tbsp
Sugar powder -1 1/2 tbsp
Melted butter - 1/2 cup
Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp

METHOD:
1. Take 1/2 cup all purpose flour to a bowl.

2. Add chopped almonds, pistachios, cashew nuts (3 tbsp each) to the flour.

3. Add 1 1/2 tbsp powdered sugar and mix the ingredients all together.

4. Add 1/2 cup unsalted melted butter (We use two 1/4 cups separately according to consistency of the dough ) and 1/2 tsp vanilla essence and make it like a dough.

5. Make small round balls with the dough and refrigerate them for 30 minutes.

6. Pre-heat the oven at 360 F / 180 C (Units in the video are wrongly mentioned in Centigrade). Bake the cookies at 180 C for 15 minutes.


NOTE: Please check the cookies in between otherwise the bottom of the cookies are burnt.


BAKING TIPS TO BAKE COOKIES
1. Place the baking sheet in the top half of the oven where the bottom of the tray is away from heat.

2. If you found your cookies are burning from the bottom and not quite brown from the top, please stop baking and let's broil it for more 5 minutes.

3.Make sure you are setting your temperature in desired temperature units. Don't confused with temperature units.
