Sizzling Potatoes in Cheese Sauce

Sizzling potatoes in cheese sauce is a perfect cocktail starter, the combination of potatoes with cheese sauce and herbs makes it really very tasty.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 12 minutes. Serves:4.

For the cheese sauce
4 cheese slices
2 tbsp butter
¼ cup milk
¼ cup cream
½ tsp dried mixed herbs

For the potatoes
1½ cups boiled and peeled baby potatoes
1 tbsp butter
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Other ingredients
1 tbsp butter

For the garnish
½ tsp dry red chilli flakes
1 tbsp finely chopped parsley

For the cheese sauce
1. Heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the cheese slices, milk and cream, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continosuly.
2. Add the mixed herbs, mix well and cook on a medium flame for another 1 minute, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside.

For the potatoes
1. Heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the potatoes, salt and pepper, mix wel and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside.

How to proceed
1. Heat a sizzler plate till it is red hot.
2. Put the butter and the potatoes, mix gently and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
3. Pour the cheese sauce over the potatoes and cook on a medium fame for 1 minute.
Serve immediately garnished with dry red chilli flakes and parsley.
